The FCF GO Team is the vision to GO BEYOND THE WALLS of Central Church and reach our community and people in need with the Gospel. This past year our GO Team has been on the move! Together we have distributed 3,900 if fresh food to our community, collected school supplies and provided back packs to kids in need, assembled hundres of food bags for the homeless and have participated in community events with the GO Trailer, loving people and reaching our neighbors with the Gospel. Throughout all these events, our GO Team has been active in praying with and for our neighbors, handing out Bibles and loving people with the love that Christ first gave us.

A new ministry launched in the fall of 2021, Mission 3189 is our Family Advocacy Ministry which supports foster care families as they care for foster children in their home.

 

We do this by creating a care community to support the family with roles such as weekly prayer, bringing a meal to the family once a month, being a child mentor, coming over for play dates, yard work as necessary, or coming alongside the foster parents during court of medical appointments. Volunteers and families seeking the support of a care community do not need to be church members.

 

In 2021 we formed our first Central Care Community and were blessed to provide support to a Central family that fosters children in their home. We are currently in need of volunteers to help fill Care Communities for upcoming foster families we will be supporting in the DeBary and Sanford areas.

BEAUTY FROM ASHES

Our Beauty from Ashes ministry has been growing in leaps and bounds! This past year, God has moved in the hearts of women at Central Church to serve in the Beauty from Ashes ministry. In 2021, a new role of mentor has been added to help disciple women, showing them the love of Jesus while sharing the Gospel to women who have been through traumatic experiences. The BFA ministry has eight Central women leading, discipling and mentoring over 30 women in crisis. This is a hands-on ministry that meets basic needs of women going through unthinkable situations. BFA first meets the basic need of safety and security, then walks alongside women with professional counseling, healing and discipleship in the Word of God which transforms lives.

PRAYER TEAM

The most important part of any ministry before anything happens, is PRAYER. It all starts and ends with prayer.

 

6Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petitiion, with thanksgiving, preseny your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard you hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

 

Prayer is the single most important part of FCF - It is like oxygen that we breath. Through prayer the Lord guides, He responds, He changes lives, He directs and leads us along the right path to take.

 

If you would like to be a part of the FCF Prayer Team, we me the second Thursday of every month at 10 Am in room 181.
